Cuca's
unique work originated in sculpture form, applying the technique of papier-mâché using recycled paper and Cuca's own mixta especial (special mixture). The process is spiritual and meticulous, requiring patience and concentration. Cuca's art continues to evolve. In addition to sculpting, she has extended her creative energy into other forms of media to include oil and acrylic painting, mask making, and more recently jewelry with an Afrikan/Taino flair. The final product continues to be a unique and colorful expression of the artist.
